Summary
Requirement (Business problem)
International students, the primary target users, found the university’s website confusing, outdated, and difficult to navigate—leading to low engagement and overwhelming demand on support services.
Issue (User problem)
The site lacked structure, consistent course information, and visual clarity. Key content was buried, pages were disconnected, and the site wasn’t responsive—making it hard for users to find or trust essential information.
Design (Solution)
I led a full redesign of the 50+ page website—starting with content verification and standardization across all programs. I restructured the site architecture, introduced a consistent visual language and navigation, and implemented responsive design. Key trust-building elements like partner logos, testimonials, and forms were integrated where users needed them most. The entire site was rebuilt around real, validated content—not assumptions—and aligned with new branding.
End result (Impact/Outcome)
The new site is modern, responsive, and structured around the needs of international students. It improved user confidence, reduced support requests, and strengthened the university’s brand perception. The platform now effectively communicates offerings, showcases partnerships, and reflects the institution’s values and credibility. We also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, who found the new site significantly easier to navigate and more informative.
