Interview Buddy - AI Prep Assistant

Requirement (Business problem)

Most interview prep tools on the market are incomplete—they either lack realistic questions, deliver awkward AI interactions, or provide generic, unhelpful feedback. Users are left underprepared for the actual interview experience.

Issue (User problem)

Existing tools feel artificial and fragmented. Users struggle with shallow question sets, unnatural AI responses, unreliable performance, and feedback that doesn’t meaningfully improve their skills.

Design (Solution)

I led market research and competitive analysis to understand user needs and gaps in the landscape. From this, we designed an MVP that delivers a structured, realistic mock interview experience powered by AI. The system uses carefully curated, industry-specific questions and mimics the pacing and tone of a real interview. We also implemented an in-session experience that reduces friction, and post-interview feedback that’s contextual, specific, and actionable.

End result (Impact/Outcome)

We launched a functional MVP that feels like a true interview, not a linear, audio-voiced question experience. Users receive targeted, meaningful feedback and report feeling more confident and better prepared for real-world interviews. The experience stands apart from competitors by being practical, emotionally intelligent, and grounded in real performance.
